Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
Racial equality is never more important than when considered in the situation of love. Guess Who's Coming to Dinner shows us how love should be of such greater value to a person than that of ones physical appearance. Dr. John Prentice and Joanna Drayton are introduced just after they met in Hawaii and fell in love. The couple happen to be of different race and have come home with intentions of introducing the love of their lives to their parents, not knowing just exactly how they will take it.
Portrayed throughout the movie, the main message is never more than one topic away. The audiences' attention may be shifted briefly to another topic, but then violently shoved back towards the message of racial equality. This helps to keep you focused on the main idea and just exactly how everyone is feeling.
