Definitional Statement
What is a journey well lets differentiate between a trip and a journey:
A trap is getting from A to B
The journey is actually getting there, the choices, risks and consequences that you make on the way, and journeys can be made up of many trips.
There are many different types of journeys; spiritual, academic, physical, mental, emotional, sexual or inner etc. And every time you partake on a journey you are gaining experience and wisdom because of the choices you make.
The first journey you ever make was entering the earth as a baby. And as soon as you arrived another journey began it may not have seemed a big one but taking your first breath as the doctor slaps your back, you need to take that breath you need to get to your destination to breathe.
Summative Reflective Statement
I know that my understanding of the area of study has developed because I can now analyse different sorts of texts and know what kind of journey they contain, whether it be a spiritual, academic, physical, mental, emotional, sexual, or inner journey or any others.
I chose the selected texts because I thought they were the most appropriate I had or could find.
The visual text applies to so many people; they go through bad times in their lives and hope for a new opportunity or a new chance to make things better. And the picture looking out of a cave with the sunlight at the other end just made it the perfect choice.
