Our life has gone through great changes since the video camera came into being, which provides a totally new and different way of recording life to the traditional written methods. Man had to record anything in terms of letters before sound and video became effective and efficient tools to make the details of our life available to our decendants. Such documentations are inevitably to be manipulated by the recorder, subjectively or objectively; while are also mis-interpretated by those read and learn from those documents. The video camera, unlike its vulnerate predecessor, is able to put down every detail as sincerely as possible for future reference.
Compared with written records, video documentation is much less influenced by the one who took record and the one who interprete it. Language itself is an abstraction from human life accumulated through thousands of years of culture life, which is always on the change. We can hardly understand the written documents of our ancestor from hundreds of years ago if we haven't undergone specialized training. Even those professionals who have learned to understand ancient literature and to transform it into forms acceptable of our contemporary culture, though avoiding all the time mis-interpretation or over-conjecture, are not able to assure us 100 percent sincerity to the original information our ancestor inclined to convey.
