Do you remember how hard it was to be a teenager? Countless misconceptions of sex were always being interpreted in order, to avoid the embarrassment of an actual discussion. The idea that the male pulling out before ejaculating as being a sufficient method of birth control, and the unawareness of the STD's that are being transferred are just two of these examples. Schools provide counseling and courses for situations like these but there are just some questions that are not so easily asked, nor answered. If teenagers can have an outlet to clear up the confusion about sex and sexuality before they partake in it, there will be fewer teen pregnancies and overall safer sex. If schools offer a comprehensive sexuality education course, students can only benefit from the personal knowledge.
One million teenage girls, ages fourteen through nineteen, get pregnant each year. That's one new pregnancy about every thirty-five seconds and the majority are under the age of fifteen (Masters et al. 242). The upcoming generation is having more sexual intercourse, at an earlier age...
