When Toby Keith released his song "Courtesy of the Red White and Blue," storms of controversy arose throughout the United States. Toby was the first to write an angry and disturbing song about the September 11th tragedy. Some thought it was extremely disturbing, such as Peter Jennings of ABC. Peter Jennings would not allow Toby Keith to perform his song at the Fourth of July Special. Negative feedback hasn't stopped Toby from expressing his feelings. To this day, he still performs his emotional song for the United States troops.
The song obviously demonstrated Toby Keith's strong view not only on the tragedy of September 11th, but also his world view. How does this artifact demonstrate his world view?
