Alcoholism is a disease that includes alcohol cravings and continued drinking after despite alcohol related problems. This disease also includes things such as cravings, or a strong need to drink. Impaired control, such as the inability to limit ones drinking. Physical dependence and withdrawal symptoms, like nausea, sweating and anxiety when they haven't had a drink in a certain period of time. Tolerance, meaning they need to have a increased amount of alcohol without feeling Its affects.
The disease of alcoholism has major health and societal consequences. Alcoholics are prone to car accidents, violence. They have strange alcohol- seeking behaviors and a lack of control on their drinking habits. There are many effects Alcoholism may show.
