Leigh Hunt once said, "Traveling in the company of those you love is home in motion." John Steinbeck's classic novel Of Mice And Men perfectly fits as an example of this quote. This quote means that no matter where you go if you go there with some one you care about or some one that cares about you, you will be at home. Which I, in my personal opinion agree with. The novel's two main characters George and Lennie are two men who travel together in search of work, in an attempt to build up enough money to buy their own little plot of land and live happily ever after. George is a small man who is wise, while Lennie is a large retarded fellow who heeds every order given to him by George. In 1930's California is where these two men travel in search of work.
These two men are part of a group who in the early 1900's went about the country in search of work. George takes care of Lennie and makes sure he doesn't get into any trouble, but Lennie always seems to find the trouble any ways. In one scene of the book these two make a perfect example of this quote by having an exchange of words, "If you don' want me I can go off in the hills and find a cave...
