The Necklace
The author of this story is Guy De Maupassant. He lived a very unhappy childhood. At age 11, his parents got separated and when the parents argue, Maupassant always sided with his mother. Between 1872 and 1882, he worked with the government. From 1877 until his death, he suffered an incurable sickness. He died at age 42. His most important story was The Necklace.
The story is about a girl named Mme. Loisel. She was the type of person that likes to act rich with the upper class families...
