What is the Situational context of the case?
In today's world economy where profits rule and small scale producers are often left out, International Trade has changed very little over the last decade. Robert Samuelson argues that critics of free trade ignore economics. Patrick Buchanan argues, the purpose of International trade is to benefit American workers, not mankind in general. The bottom line is: In America the challenge is to ensure a better distribution of income and a decrease in poverty. In other countries, the challenge is to prevent rising demands and dwindling resources. Whether it's foreign or domestic, there are always winners and losers. The capacity to achieve economic growth in the New Millennium lies with people, values, resources and industries.
