Greene was one of the twentieth century's greatest writers; author of many novels, short stories, plays, and memoirs. His "best novel" was The Power and The Glory. What brought Greene into writing this novel, along with many of his other novels, was his journey through his life and traveling around the world.
Henry Graham Greene was born on October 2, 1904 and was the fourth out of six children in his family. He was raised in Bekhamsted, Hertforshire where he was known to be the very quiet and fragile child. As he was growing up, he wasn't the athletic child; he was more into academics.
