Undoubtedly, arts constitutes an indispensable part of the history, without which we can not imagine what the whole society will evolve into. The issue discussed at hand whether the arts plays an significant role in demonstrating the hidden ideas and impulses of a society which will otherwise be overlooked by the public is heatedly debated among individuals and the society as a whole.However, as far as i am concerned, while i concede the function of arts in this respect, i must emphasize that the effects of arts cannot be confined into a specific field,and arts is integrated into the progress of history.
Admittedly, it is undeniable that one important function of arts is to express emotions and reveal the otherwise hidden ideas and impulses of the society, which can be substantiated by the experience of outstanding artists. According to our everyday experience, we are inclined to arouse the motivation of expressing our emotion when we are delighted or under great pressure from the external world, and the means adopted by most people is drawing and painting if we have instruction in the area of arts even if the little education can be overlooked compared to those in other fields. In this aspect, i am a case in point to illustrate the point, for the reason that i prefer to express my mood of pleasure and sadness in the form of arts. In the same way, the knowldge of history informs us that the great works of arts are generated and created when the outstanding artists are out of the ordinary mental state, such as vincent van gogh.
However, besides the above-mentioned use of arts, arts exerts significant influence on our everyday life. Arts can express the experience of the past,explain values and a way of life, help to relate to supernatural force, express emotion and enhance the quality of our life as decoration denoting pride and status and provide pleasure and entertainment such as music an dance and so on. Now, i will choose two specific use to illustrate the point concerned...
