My purpose in continuing my student career is to receive a well-rounded education and to gain life experiences. The University of Texas is an outstanding school that can provide me with the experiences and the tools I need to grow as a student, and a person in this world.
The University of Texas that I picture is a diverse campus filled with students much like myself: people who wish to learn and succeed. My goal is to use what I have learned and experienced in college to set a foundation for my life and future. I hope to continue my interest in political science, and to explore my options in this field. I believe that people have a right, privilege, and requirement to gain knowledge of their government and how it works so that they can find their place in our nation and become a responsible citizen. UT offers me the opportunity to explore my potential in any study I wish, especially in the areas of liberal arts and government. It would seem that this University is dedicated to making its students more complete people, enabling them to function in the real world; yet another reason I wish to attend this respected institution. An additional purpose of the University of Texas is to help students take the information they are given and teach them how to use it in the future. I love to soak up the knowledge that others have to give to me, and in turn apply it toward achieving my goals and aspirations...
