A Birthday To Remember By Erica Young “I can’t believe you’re going on a date with Mark he is such a nerd” Melissa shouts across the room. “Come on, He has no car, no friends, and no LIFE!” “ Melissa, just give him a chance, I think he is actually really interesting, it’s just that no one gives him the time of day to see that” “And Stop calling me Kay you know how much I hate that” I yelled over the roar of the hair dryer. And this is where my story starts. My Name is Katie, Katie Lumbank. I am a college freshman at the University of Ohio. I am currently in the process of getting a bachelors degree in medical psychology. My best friend, Melissa and I have always been extremely close. We share everything. Make-up , clothes, and all of our secrets, which is why we decided to become roommates in my brand new apartment in the first place. There is this great guy that I am dating named Mark. We have been together for about 6 months now. I would like to agree that life is pretty close to being perfect but it’s not in most aspects. May 2 “Mom get that car out of the driveway already” I stated in a loud voice as I ran to proceed to the car” “Okay already” “my mom stated abruptly” We were going to the mall to get some presents for my boyfriends birthday.
