Moral Responsibility is not as easily taken to some as though it would seem. To most it would seem morals are what separate the good from the evil and the hard working from the lazy. But to some believers of a theory called Hard Determinism we should not be held responsible for our actions because we do not have the freedom to choose what we do. Sounds crazy because we would all like to think that we have the ability to choose our actions and motions in everyday life. There are opponents to this matter however who point to libertarianism. Libertarianism is having the freedom to make our choices however right or wrong they may be. This is what lies in the conscious of most human beings.
A defender of Libertarianism is Richard Taylor. Taylor believes we have metaphysical freedom which gives us freedom from internal constraints to choose our actions. According to Taylor beating the feeling to rather lay in bed than get up to go to work is proof that we make our decisions and are not held back by a constraint...
