How to Make a Meringue
So you want to munch on something scrumptious? Have you ever heard of meringues? A meringue is a smooth mixture of egg whites, sugar, and often cream of tarter (used to give volume and is frequently found on cakes). My mom had taught me how to make these yummy treats and therefore I will give this recipe to others such as yourself. There are two types of meringues, but I will be teaching how to make a hard meringue. The soft one is often used as a topping to pies or other pastries. I prefer the hard one, which are bite-sized and easy to grasp without getting your fingers sticky. Meringues are a good way to have fun making them for a sleep over, bake sale, or even a wedding and are mouth-watering delicacies that no one can resist.
To begin with, you will need to gather the necessary ingredients and utensils: two egg whites, one tablespoon of cream of tarter, approximately half cup of granulated sugar, an egg beater, a big bowl used for mixing, a plate, a piping bag, and finally an oven.
