There were many sports played by people during Queen Elizabethan England such as swimming, tennis, bowls, and fencing, but the most enjoyed violent sports were jousting and wrestling. Sports and games of war like archery, jousting, and hunting took an importance place in the society and were favorite pastime for nobles and royals. Most of sports which played during Queen Elizabethan time were carried over from the Medieval period.
Hunting was a favorite sport with fun for people, especially rich people, and also one of the most popular sports for Queen Elizabethan. Hunting allowed people to show off their horses, hawks, clothing, and weapons. Horses were shown off just for breeding, endurance, speed, beauty, and strength. Besides many clothing fashions were established during the hunting trips. Also new weaponry appeared at such events, such as new arrow head which was eventually used to fell knights.
