"Fly-Fishing: The Art Form of Fishing"
I know that fly-fishing is fun, but there is much more to it than sitting around in a lawn chair, watching for the movement of a rod tip. Instead of using the weight to cast the line and present the bait, the weight of the line is used to cast and artificial fly. These flies are tied by hand, or sometimes by machine, and attempt to resemble a live insect. There is more to fly fishing than just buying a pole and going and trying your luck. It takes practice and instruction to learn to cast (which is extremely important). This can mean practicing in an open area without any water just to gain the feel for the pole and the line. Also knowledge of knots, fly tying, and flies are important. The skill of fly-fishing is learned over time, not overnight. Fly-fishing is generally a "catch and release" sport; the fish are released, after being caught, back into the water to grow and be caught another day.
