They say, “Laugh and the world laughs with you; cry and you cry alone”’. I remember growing up hearing my mother say it all the time. If you can genuinely laugh in the homely face of your misfortune, you’ll always be in good company. On the other hand if you let your misfortunes upset you, you’re all alone at your pity party. It’s easy to let mundane things put a gray cloud over your head. Much easier than it is to laugh about your embarrassment or your momentary lack off brain cells. When most people do something embarrassing they immediately become flustered and aggravated. This puts tension in the air. Tension because no one else but them is embarrassed.
