The main draw for this movie I believe would be the actress who plays Paige, Julia Stiles. Others may find the draw to be the director Martha Coolidge, who is responsible for directing the hit TV series Sex and the City and the movie Valley Girl. In The Prince and Me Julia plays a senior in college. This film fits in perfectly with earlier works of Ms. Stiles, playing a teen or a person of youth is typical in her character choices. The earliest hit of hers, Ten Things I Hate About You, where she plays a hostile teen that is a decent person underneath fits the bill. Her acting persona and her real person are not far from one another. As I said, it is a common theme for Julia to play a devoted student and in her real life she also plays the part of a devoted student, she has been attending Columbia University since the year 2000 studying to get her degree in English. Even in her other recent film Mona Lisa Smile, she plays a student. Julia's movies are almost always teen based comedies as was this film but from time to time she strays and tries something new such as her roles in State and Maine and Othello...
