Benjamin Franklin, a founder of our nation, believed in virtues. He was so passionate about living life correctly he kept a virtue diary for years. He wrote daily if he had followed these virtues. He noted carefully of what he had done correctly and where he needed work. This past week I had the assignment of doing exactly as Franklin and let me tell you, this man must have been a superhero to be able to follow all the virtues, I could barely take care of the virtues order, silence, and resolution.
When you are given the positions of Chamber Singer president, Comedysportz manager and have schoolwork and college applications on top of that order is a must. Well, sometimes even the most organized can get themselves into jams. My first Saturday of the new school year and I have my calendar in hand, "10 AM shopping, 11 AM volunteer work, 12 PM free time for lunch etc." I jump in my car and drive to various locations, feeling mighty proud of all that I have accomplished.
