The Roman Empire was one of the greatest civilizations the world will ever see. The
Romans are renown for all of their inventions and ideas, but another great tribute to the
civilizations to come was its governmental power, strength, how long it lasted, and most
importantly its fall. The fall of the Roman Empire was a most crushing low to the world, but it
also was a very insightful lesson on how to build and maintain an empire. Many of the Roman
ideas have been adopted by countries, though no country has been able o come as close to finding
the best of both ends-the raise and fall- of the Roman Empire as the United States. ... has
seen the problems that caused the Romans and many other countries to fall and raise and they
have taken steps to ensure that those problems don’t and can’t happen. For all of Rome’s
greatness it forgot some major issues, how to maintain the loyalty of the army and common
people, manage and cope with the size and growing population f the empire, ensure the equal
treatment of the poor, and all of the other problems that caused its fall.
