Happiness? ... Although no one has ever been able to come up with a definite equation for it, there are so many supposed acclaimed ways to get to true happiness. Regardless of the method or person, all people try to obtain happiness, either through materials, spirituality, or the acceptance of others, because happiness is the basic drive of all humanity.
Happiness is the point or purpose of human life or the summum bonum, the final or ultimate end of human activity. ... The happiness discussed here is the one in life totally; not in different situations. The question is what is the difference between a happy temperament, feeling happy, or having a happy time, and true happiness in life. The first three have causes, not reasons, someone has to have reasons to have happiness in life. ... There are those that believe that happiness is just an attitude of the mind; that a man is himself the authority on whether he is or is not happy. ...
So-called happiness can be found everywhere, constantly our society is being bombarded with advertisements on something that will make you happy, at the mall, on the internet, in catalogs, etc. Some people are materialistic and believe stuff and success will bring them happiness, but if one focuses too much on success and other things, it drives them from other things that are needed for happiness and well-being. ... These people believe that someone is defined and happiness is found by financial success, getting a job has high social status, things that one purchases.
