Marcus Munsil teaches a two-day golf clinic every weekend in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. His students range from beginners to experts and he even coached John Elliot, who played on the PGA tour during the late nineties. What makes being a PGA Teaching Pro difficult is figuring out what works for every golfer's unique swing.
Marcus drags himself out of bed at five o'clock in the morning that Saturday. The lingering affects of last night's happy hour trying to pound a hole in the back of his head. The first thing he does every morning is start some coffee, and fire up a Marlboro Red. After a breakfast of coffee and cigarettes, he gets into the shower and tries to wake himself up. These days his fifty one year old body doesn't recover from the ill effects of too many martinis as quickly as it used to.
He is at the practice range by six o'clock that morning, and it gives him plenty of time to get the range ready for his students. They will be showing up around seven...
