Is Socialization a great reason not to go to school?
At the time, the emergence of a public school system was welcomed as the educational equivalent of the gold stored in Fort Knox. All children would get an educationall children would get the same educationall children would receive a free education. Over time the public school system emerged into the current system present in the United States today. All children begin school at age 5/6 in first grade and progress upward to the 12th grade, accomplished by the age of 17/18. A sidebar of the public school system is the social exposure, hailed by proponents of the system as essential for a well-rounded child. As a result of current conditions, today's society often places children in "child care" soon after birth, due to working parents. This "public handling" of our children, continues with progression into pre-school, kindergarten and finally full-fledged public school.
More and more the public school system makes the front pages of our daily newspapers and the evening news...
