My Darling Husband Macbeth,
When you receive this letter I will no longer be with you as I have disappeared into a better place. A place that forgives you of your sins no matter how large or small, a place where all of your nightmares end, a place where there will be no more death.
My life started to fall apart those months ago when I received that letter from you regarding your confrontation with the "weird sisters". They told you that you would be Thame of Cordor and the King of Scotland. I decided then and there that "thou shalt be what thou art promis`d" , that I would "poor thy spirits in thine ear" to "have thee crown`d withal". I was blinded by a vision of all of the riches and power we could share together. I see what I had convinced you to do was wrong and immoral. I realise now that persuading you to kill gracious King Duncan was a cold blooded and savage deed.
My hands are as red as yours, permanently stained by the blood of King Duncan. Oh poor King Duncan...
