"Get Lost"
In the world of art, I believe that if we lose ourselves in the work, then we become a part of the art piece that we are trying to develop. If we are able to lose ourselves in the work, then the piece that we have created has more meaning to it, than just a painting, or sculpture, or whatever we create.
It's been said that if we are familiar with our surroundings, then we usually don't recognize the small differences that are going on around us. I would have to agree with that. We usually live our lives with common habits or routines that we don't think of what's going on, we just start doing it like a robot. For example we go to school everyday, and students usually have certain pathways that they take to class everyday. They become so accustomed to it that they don't really pay attention to the surrounding anymore because they traveled that path so many times. Compared to, if one was to take another pathway to class things would be a little different and they would notice they change in scenery and may even become curious as to what other types of things that might be to look at. Another example would be if we have a group of friends, we don't really notice too much about their faults, and you seem to be more relaxed, and don't pay attention usually to the things that they do, because you're so used to them just being around you. Once you meet someone new, that you haven't met before, you seem to notice the small things that irritate you or certain movements that catch your eye...
