Overview
Much is in the news today about the "battleground states". What are they and how will they affect foreign affairs? We know the "who" but no one knows for sure what the outcome will be until the election is over this November. One thing is for sure: there will be tens of millions of dollars spent on advertising in the news media and they will be the only ones that will come out ahead!
First, let's take a look at the list of states that are "the battleground states" and see what their unemployment rates are because I feel that the unemployment rate or lack of jobs will be the determining factor in how the overall election will be won or lost. And which party wins the election will definitely have an effect on foreign affairs and how the rest of the world will view America.
