"Parenting a teenager"
Being a parent is not an easy job, especially if your child is a teenager. As children approach the adolescent years conflicts within the family will more than likely increase. It is important that you remember that being a teenager can be very stressful. It is also important you see that your child feels comfortable in their home, which will make it less stressful. Parents need to realize that teenagers who feel secure are more likely to open up to their parents, which enables the family to have a close intimate bond.
Parents make the mistake not acknowledging the amount of stress that is exerted on their child. Their philosophy is that everyone has stress in their life. Parents are more likely to be caught up in their own problems like paying bills and working. This makes it close to impossible to tend to the needs of a teenager.
