Need significant amounts of money soon? Will college leave your parents penniless and your sibling out of luck? Many little prompts like these are common to the high school senior. But, is actually getting the financial aid a synch?
The scholarship applying/receiving process is somewhat tedious and unnerving. Being a senior and digging for every cent available to me, I know the trials and tribulations that result from this process. With all the tempting logos, many seniors do not realize the slim chances of their being selected for these monetary gifts.
Parents constantly pressure seniors to apply for every possible scholarship, and with good reason; college isn't cheap. So, what's wrong with applying for scholarships?..
