	Othello Deception
	Deception can be defined as betrayal, like in the story Othello. ... Not knowing of any of the treachery acts, Othello goes along for the ride of confusion. Iago, being an angry ancient, is jealous because Othello appointed Cassio lieutenant, instead of him, even though Cassio’s less experienced and only knowledgeable from the book. Iago’s “friend” Roderigo is in the game along with him to deceive Othello. Though Roderigo is not jealous because of the position Othello appointed Cassio, but he is jealous because he is also in love with Desdemona, though Othello has her. Sung in a song called “Numb” by Linkin Park, “I’m tired of being what you want me to be, feeling so faithless, lost under the surface”, describes the feeling of Iago, causing him to deceive Othello.
