CAN A PERSON CHOOSE DEATH?
Many people have problems that occur at an old age, and it becomes hard (almost impossible) to live an ordinary life. Some people believe that the individual should cope with it, but some individuals believe there has to be a better way, because the pain and suffering outweigh the peace of life and peace of mind. Some people may have an accident that may cause them to be severely mentally or physically impaired or in a vegetative state. Nevertheless, when times become too difficult to bear some people turn to euthanasia, an act of bringing death to the hopelessly ill and suffering of the terminally ill in a painless, quick way for reasons of mercy. Euthanasia is a widely debated topic and there are many views and beliefs. Should an individual be able to choose his or her fate?
In this country during these times you would think an individual would be able to choose his or her own fate. With this country being based on freedom and democracy, this choice shouldn't really be a problem but it is, and with the so-called dedication and pressure to preserve life it will continue to be a problem. Although many favor euthanasia a majority of the country is against it because they feel that the death of any being should be left up to God...
