The Yankees Dynasty
When I first remembered watching the New York Yankees on television, I thought that they were an unparalleled team, but the population out of New York State and Long Island disagree and hate the Yankees’ with a passion. The main reason to why people shudder at the Yankees is because they believe the Yankees Organization “buys” their championships.
The Yankees do have the highest payroll in the major leagues. ... The Yankees also use their money to invest in a young and talented farm system. ...
The New York Yankees have won 26 World Series Championships, 39 American League Championships, and 13 Division Championships in there 100 years of existence. ... The owner of the Yankees, George Steinbrenner, who does not like to lose at all, will make sure his coaching staff is the best in the majors. You will hear people complain and argue, especially Boston Redsox fan’s who have not seen their team win the world series in over 75 years, that the only reason the Yankees won four World Series Championships from 1996 to 2000, was because they “bought” the championships, which is a completely false statement.
