AUTOBIOGRAPHY
On a warm September morning, in the town of Sussex, New Brunswick a prodigal child was born that would be me David E.S. Leland. Growing up in the small town of 5,500 people, I led a fairly simple small town life. The friends I had made in kindergarten were many of the same people I was hanging out with in grade 12, and even now when I go home to visit.
My parents were very athletic, and very involved people, which in turn rubbed of on me. Therefore, by the time I reached middle school, I was involved with piano, boy scouts, hockey, soccer, golf, volleyball, and student council. Balancing this sort of schedule was hard, but it was definitely a good experience for me, and gave me the organization skills necessary to succeed in life.
Although education was highly stressed in my family - my parents both being teachers - hockey was my love, and I often made it my number one priority. On the ice three to four times a week, not including when I refereed, I spent a large portion of my high school days at the arena...
