Friedrich Nietzsche: His Life, Works, and their Affects On the World
Friedrich Nietzsche was a madman to some and a hero to others. His theories inspired many, yet this inspiration almost brought the destruction of the human race. He was a sickly man with sickly ideas, obsessed with himself and his supposed grandeur he spent many hours idolizing himself in his books and thought these books to be above all. To understand the man we must, however, understand the situation in which he was raised and how this contributed to his later madness and destruction.
Nietzsche was born October 15, 1844 in Prussia. His father, a Lutheran minister, died when he was only five, and from that point forward young Friedrich was surrounded by women. After his fathers death his mother, sister, and three aunts raised him. They constantly adored and babied Nietzsche telling him how wonderful he was and to some extent worshipping the boy. He decided to be a priest like his father and went to Lutheran boarding school. At the age of 16 he was confirmed but at this same time he began to doubt the existence of God...
