Issue: Situation in Iraq
1. What is the basis of the conflict or issue?
Colombia is openly supporting the use of force in order to disarm its regime
and prevent its weapons of mass destruction from continuing to threaten mankind
and the Iraqi people. In the early nineties, the United Nations Security Council
has approved resolutions aimed at destroying Iraq's weapons of mass destruction.
In the past we have found that the Iraqi government has concealed the truth.
Therefore, military action takes place. This conflict is a huge problem that
greatly affects all nations today. Terrorism is a huge problem that many nations
have experienced. Terrorism must be put to an end.
