Community Activism
Our community has gone a long way in the last couple years. The streets are safer, the parks are a little more luminescent, the trees are greener, and the kids are happier. One might ask themselves how this community has drastically improved. The answer is simple; it's the people who contribute to the community. Community activism; this is what has brought our community where it is now especially with the Asian Pacific American community. Asians are one of the fastest growing races in the Bay Area so it's vital to our community that we, as Asians, do our part to help the community. This is why community activism is so important to me.
I haven't really participated in community activities because I never came to realize its importance. Just recently have I realized what helping in this community can do and how much of an impact I alone can set upon this community. This community has given me so much but yet I have not given enough in return...
