Requiem for a Dream is the one movie I know of that uses it’s music effectively throughout the entire course of the film. There are no lyrics at all, and all of the music in the picture was orchestrated by the Kronos String Quartet and composed by Clint Mansell. ... These “Pop-Shots” are used throughout the movie and aide the music greatly, because usually these segments are followed by one of the many powerful string ballads in the film.
