World War II drastically affected the Japanese culture, economics, and Japan's involvement with the United States. Japan is considered one of the most important and powerful countries in the modern world but Japan's accomplishments have been reached by excessive hard work and changes made in the Japanese society. During World War II the destruction of Japanese cities and the death of many Japanese people caused them to change their system of politics and foreign policy. These changes made in Japan did not only affect the country politically but culturally, due to the influence of western ideas. These changes in their culture made the Japanese a whole new country and made it more open to foreign ideas and a new way of government.
World War II began in the year 1939 and ended the year 1945. It was the greatest and most destructive war in history. Whereas military operations in World War I were conducted primarily on the European continent, World War II included gigantic struggles not only in Europe but in Asia, Africa, and the far-flung islands of the Pacific as well. More than 17 million members of the armed forces died during this conflict. Its conduct strained the economic capabilities of the major nations and left many countries on the edge of collapse...
