In the short story "Like a Winding Sheet," there is symbolic representation of how blind male rage is. Male rage is a problem that has continually plagued the lives of many women in society as a whole, both past and present. Through reading this story, there is much evidence of how rage is a predominate characteristic that men have; and, it show how men sometime do not know how to interpret their own anger. Thus, when they experience it, they tend to hold it back; which, in fact, can erupt into something more severe, like with the main character. I plan to look into the example given in the story in order to show not only that male rage is present, but to address the signs of rage, as well as how men tend to deal with that rage.
When we tend to look at male rage, we think that it due to alcohol and drugs. Many times there are situations where none of these are involved. Many times, the male had no clue what happened. But what did happen? What happened was the natural make up of a man...
