Report on Staff Grievances
Terms of reference:
The report on Grievances of Wakely Ltd Staff Members was requested by the Managing director and is to be submitted as soon as possible.
Proceedings:
The members of the staff of different departments were interviewed in order to discover current problems and find appropriate solutions.
Findings:
During the process of analyzing the staff comments, three main grievances were defined.
1) Blue-collar workers feel being mistreated by the company's decision upon the language training courses mainly devoted to sales and marketing staff.
2) The majority of the staff strongly dislike the idea of introducing golf weekends instead of sports and social club.
3) American technical manager behaves very aggressively and does not value skills and experience of the staff.
Among various possible solutions the following most appropriate were chosen.
1) As blue-collar workers have a strong motivation to attend language training courses they should be allowed to do this during work time like the rest members of company staff.
2) Due to the fact that newly introduced golfing weekends and management training trips to luxury hotels are offered mostly to the executives, other staff should not be deprived of their sports and social club which they adore.
3) The majority of staff have little confidence in the American technical manager and ask for her replacement...
