lady macbeth her po wer abuse
In several of William Shakespeares plays, Elizabethan audiences are met with many interesting and clever characters. ... In the play of Macbeth, the character of Lady Macbeth is portrayed as very manipulative and brilliant female; this character (unlike Shylock) uses intelligence to achieve the goal of becoming queen. Shylock and Lady Macbeth are very alike; in both plays each of these characters play a significant role in creating suspense. Through the character of Lady Macbeth, Shakespeare intends to prove to an Elizabethan audience that a female can do anything.
In Act one, Scene five of Macbeth, Lady Macbeth is introduced to the audience reading a letter from Macbeth.
