Hacker Protection
In order for businesses to keep out unwanted access from their computer networks, they need to take into consideration the three layers; server security, anti-virus software, and internet firewalls as well as how they work.
Server security is often the most over looked security feature of the three, says Paul Normand. Server security deals with employee access to a company's network.
Good server security limits employee's access to only certain area networks. This keeps employees out of pay role and confidential information. A poorly configured server security system would only require one username and password to enter the network allowing access to all of the businesses information.
Another over looked aspect would be the user name and password its self. An example would be if an employee used their first initial and last name. These types of passwords are easily broken by programs. A better password would consist of lower and upper case letters as well as numbers...
