A professor in my college would constantly encourage students to derive their own answers before looking at ready-made solutions. This advice had a profound influence on my approach to learning. Today, as I venture into conveying my core beliefs, vision and background to your panel through this incredible medium, I am reminded of that advice and can clearly see the 'do your own think' message.
Throughout my educational and professional life, I have followed the beacon of my interest over other considerations. For instance, I decided to pursue Mathematics for my undergraduate degree based on the fact that I had developed an intense interest for the subject in high school. Though aware that a strong foundation in Mathematics would open up several avenues, my interest was the guiding light.
During my school days, I acquired my nascent interest in programming while studying some introductory courses. It evolved into a deeper interest in Information Technology (IT) amidst my undergraduate program. By getting admission into the Graduate program at NIIT, a leading institution in Information Technology in India, I was able translate this desire into learning.
