Discipleship
In this piece of course work I wish to examine in detail how St. Marks Gospel gives Christians an insight into what it means to be a disciple. I will define discipleship by using passages from St. Marks Gospel, and by explaining what each passage means in terms of discipleship.
The word disciple comes from the Latin word dicipulus, which means scholar or one who learns. Discipleship is shown on many occasions throughout Marks Gospel.
Jesus calls 4 fishermen 1:14-20
While Jesus was walking along the shore of lake Galilee he saw two fishermen Simon and his brother Andrew catching fish with a net.
