Hi soz this is a crap essay...Task: Macbeth – In Act 1, Scene 3 lines 100 to 147 the first of the prophecies comes true. You have been asked to direct this part of the scene to help the other students in your class gain a better understanding of Macbeth and Banquo and their situation. WRITE AN EXPLANATION TO THE TWO ACTORS PLAYING THE PARTS OF MACBETH AND BANQUO, OUTLINING THE EFFECT YOU WANT TO CREATE AND HOW IT COULD BE ACHIVED. Writing as a director The section that leads into this scene features Macbeth and Banquo in conversation with the three witches. They hail both men with prophecies that seem impossible or at least highly unlikely. The propositions make the men begin to wonder how they could be true and what the consequences would be. In line 105 they find out that one of the prophecies has come true, Macbeth has been given the title ‘Thane of Cawdor’. Macbeth is a valiant soldier who is admired by everyone including King Duncan, ‘Noble Macbeth hath won,’ but he wants to be powerful and may do anything for the chance of gaining supremacy. He is a respectable man at heart and may be too easily swayed. He has a high status and already possesses the title ‘Thane of Glamis,’ he is married but has no children. Banquo is not as highly honoured but he is an honest man who has been a companion to Macbeth for a considerable length of time. During that time Banquo has come to know his friend extremely well and can understand his various moods and what they mean. As far as we know, he has a son, Fleance, but we are not sure whether Banquo is married.
