Overpaid Athletes
Did you dream of becoming a professional athlete? Did you imagine walking onto the field, crowd cheering, and your heart pounding out of your chest? Unfortunately, most people who dream of becoming a professional athlete do not. Sadly, some athletes that have achieved their dream have forgotten how lucky they are to have that exceptional ability.
Americans are jealous of athletes and that's people criticize how excessively paid athletes have become.
Although athletes in our society seem to be above the law, they take what is given to them. Perhaps they seem to be above the law because if a star athlete served jail-time the NFL, or NBA would be out of millions of endorsement money. "Baltimore Ravens running back Jamal Lewis, who had the second-highest rushing total in NFL history last season, was indicted Wednesday on federal drug charges.
