Popular consent is similar to the majority rule, in which most of the popular acts and ideas of the people will be adopted by our governement. Popular consent implies that government must obtain consent for its action from the people it governs. An example for popular consent may be to provide a means for judging parental consent laws for minors seeking abortion. Popular consent may not be fair for everyone, as every individual has a different attitude towards every thing a person has to lose his willilngness, when most of the people vote the other way. It also implies at a view of the President, if he wants to do something for the people but the majority of the vote is on the other way he will not be able to perform that function. Popular consent may also resist a person willing and the type of work he wants to perfrom.
The basic values of the democracy do not always coexist happily. There are times when they conflict with each other. In popular consent, provide means for judging parental consent for minors seeking abortion. Since minors are not legally allowed to be compent to engage in sex, it is incredible that they would be regarded as competent to make a life and death decision about something and later in life they might themselves regard as a real person, with individual rights...
