Murder is the gravest of all crimes, which deserves the most severe punishment. Other crimes, such as theft, leave the victim able to recover. But murder does not. So the death penalty has been fitting. Can death ever be a deserved punishment? Some people don't think so. I think an anecdote might help in answering this question. Two men named McCorquodale and Leroy killed a girl named Donna back in 1974 in the way that was the most horrible, I believe. They assaulted her sexually and after that they burned the victim with their cigarettes, slit her skin with a razorblade, also they dropped the hot wax from the candle. Finally they killed her with a nylon cord around her neck...
