"Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you" (Luke 6:27-28).
The world today is full of anger and disagreement. Everyone struggles against each other and families quarrel among themselves. Nations go to war and rush to destruction, but no one really wants war. Everyone longs for peace, rest and progress. So why do people hold back, and speak in the word of hate, of which they are ashamed of afterwards?
A man's soul is dominated by evil and needs strength to change his heart. This strength is found in God alone, since he is unconditional love. First a man has to have the spirit of the Holy Ghost to love his enemy; then he has to be able to hate someone before he can love someone. "We can ask God to help us see evidence of the way that He has created each of us-right in the place where an aggressor seems to be" (Christian Science Monitor 1)...
