The Finality of Capital Punishment
Everyday on the news I hear about the death penalty and it makes me sick to my stomach. How has this country gone so awry that we can control the fate of a person's life and feel satisfied about it? There are many points in which I disagree with capital punishment. From religious beliefs to the ways I think a criminal should be punished.
Capital punishment has been in our history as well as the history of other nations for many years. In medieval times people were be-headed for petty crimes. In the beginnings of our nation people were hanged for treason. Our society today has calmed down a bit so to speak. Most criminals go to prison but some of them have a darker fate on death row. Most criminals get capital punishment for committing obscene crimes such as murder or rape...
